Johns Hopkins Facilities and Real Estate (JHFRE), functioning on behalf of the Johns Hopkins University (JHU), Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM), and Johns Hopkins Health Systems (JHHS) institutions, provides real estate services including asset management, leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, project management and development oversight. The Office of Real Estate provides "off campus" real estate services to support and facilitate the delivery of education, research and healthcare in a manner consistent with the interests and objectives of the Institutions.
Essential Job Functions:
Coordinates external institutional-wide off campus leasing activities for various JHU, JHM, and JHHS divisions
Serves as liaison for JHU, JHM and JHHS
Implements space search based on established criteria (size, use , geographic preference) and market knowledge
Coordinates with the Assistant Director Real Estate on hiring real estate brokers and/or consultants to assist with specified requirements
Directs/manages real estate brokers and/or consultants on selected tasks and requirements
Coordinates site visits with brokers and or developers
Evaluates/analyzes business terms of various location options
Formulates strategic recommendations
Coordinates legal review of documentation through JHU and JHHS Legal department's
Acquires and executes disposition of properties, as directed by the Assistant Director Real Estate or Senior Leadership
Coordinates and provides oversight of real estate property assessments
Participates in scheduled meetings with division heads, including but not limited to Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the Bloomberg School of Public Health
Participates and helps formulate monthly reports and year end data on Office of Real Estate activity
Participates in external activities, such as AUREO and NAIOP functions ( budget contingent)

A Bachelor's Degree is required. Six to eight years of commercial real estate experience required. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education
