Reporting to the Director of the Office of Medical Annual Giving (OMAG), the Associate Director will consult with, strategize with and implement the annual giving programs of the Johns Hopkins Partner Hospitals: Johns Hopkins All Children's, Sibley Memorial, Howard County and Suburban, annual giving efforts. S/he will be responsible for diversifying annual giving programs for each hospital by increasing annual giving revenue, broadening the base of support, and strengthening the major gift pipeline for each of the four partner hospitals. The Associate Director will be expected to:
Design, develop and manage an integrated multi-channel timeline and marketing strategy of outbound programs (direct mail, phonathon, and email) and inbound programs (websites and giving forms) that engage donors through varied marketing channels with the focus of ultimately moving to personal relationship-based development efforts.
Co-create and enhance each Johns Hopkins Partner Hospital's annual giving department's use of digital marketing (e.g., email, websites, social media) and analytics (e.g., predictive modeling, social media data mining) to improve segmentation and messaging and to create a personal and positive experience for donors.
Integrate a strategy to grow the number of Johns Hopkins Partner Hospital's high level annual donors each year by acquiring, retaining and upgrading donors of $1,000 or more.
Facilitate and coordinate increased data integrity and growth between OMAG and each Johns Hopkins Partner Hospital.
Guide each Johns Hopkins Partner Hospital to develop strong solicitation, engagement, and stewardship programs for key annual giving constituencies (Grateful Patients, Friends and Faculty).
Initiate and manage third-party vendor relationships, as needed, for all of the Johns Hopkins Partner Hospitals.
Spend at least two days a month at Sibley Memorial, Howard County and Suburban Hospital working with their staff specifically regarding data acquisition and evaluation and overall annual giving strategy.
Spend at least two days every 2 months and no less than 2 video check-ins on months without travel with All Children's Hospital working with their staff specifically regarding data acquisition and integrity and overall annual giving strategy.
Represent and lead, alongside members of All Children's, Sibley Memorial, Howard County and Suburban Hospitals, each hospital at Johns Hopkins University and Medicine specifically those committees involving annual giving.
Coordinate with FJHM Communications teams to monitor and maintain Johns Hopkins approved style guides as well as work to build and manage relationships with All Children's, Sibley Memorial, Howard County and Suburban Hospital's Office of Communications and Marketing to help ensure brand management and development messaging is highlighted.
Manage and coordinate annual giving budgets with each Partner Hospital and with Director.

The Associate/Senior Associate Director must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and must be able to use good judgment and juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to use discretion, handling confidential information. Must be able to forge strong relationships with Sibley Memorial, Howard County and Suburban Hospital Development and Alumni Relations teams.
